This is a new reproduction of the classic vintage Airline pickguard found on many vintage Airline models. We refer to this pickguard as style #5. You would use this pickguard if you wanted to position your volume and tone knobs above the pickups or anywhere else on the pickguard. The pickguard has not been drilled for pots only for attaching to the guitar surface. The relief for the bridge has also been removed on both sides of the pickguard to allow bridge positioning anywhere on the guitar for proper intonation. The pickguard has been updated and created in a versatile transparent plastic that ships with a white backing that you can remove you can remove (or keep it on for an easy white finish). Another option is to reverse spray paint for a professional looking finish. Also included is set of pickguards (two total - upper and lower) and mounting screws.
